Both these Châteaux are located in the village of Bouzon Gellenave, a kilometre apart from each other.

 

Château St Go

Wine-producing estate for over half a century, this Château owns a vinification and an ageing wine storehouse, completely renovated in 2001. Several winegrowers gatherhave got together to manage this vineyard.

 

Château du Bascou

Its vineyard spreads over 10 ha. A 5.5-hectare experimental vineyard was planted in 2001. Its density amounts to 8,200 to 8,600 vines per hectare which is more than double the traditional density for the appellation.

RClose to each other, the vines are obliged to take root more deeply in order to draw the nutrients for the soil. The aim is to obtain more highly concentrated grapes.

 

Château du Bascou wines are produced and aged in Château St Go.
