The history of the Château

Monsieur Bascou, a country doctor, first lived in the oldest part of the house.

His son, Olivier Bascou, a man with influence, a doctor, a member of Parliament and a regional Prefect had the most recent part of the house built in the 19th century.

Extended and transformed over the years, the house remained in the Bascou family up until 1980.

Armagnac was produced there for decades before becoming a production estate for Saint-Mont wines.
